OUR STORY
From an idea in 2013 to the Bumblebee of today.
Bumblebee was founded in 2013 by technology entrepreneur
Sean O’Connell, following a career spanning software development, infrastructure, IT leadership and technology innovation.

His vision was to create something different: a nimble, innovative and people-centric technology company with the freedom to experiment in R&D and challenge conventional thinking.
​
That spirit took Bumblebee into software development, emerging technologies, IoT and product innovation — including the development and launch of MobeeWash in South Africa and Australia.

Over the years, our technology, capabilities and team have evolved.​​​
What hasn’t changed is our willingness to learn, experiment and adapt.
Today, Bumblebee brings together its engineering heritage with modern cloud, architecture and AI-enabled delivery to help organisations navigate a new generation of technology challenges.

Established iLaunch, specialising in IT recruitment and the placement of skilled technology professionals across permanent and contract engagements.

Product Innovation
MobeeWash launches, taking Bumblebee-developed technology into South Africa and Australia.

Expanding the Group
Further expanded the Group with the establishment of
Mischief Garage, extending Bumblebee’s entrepreneurial interests into the automotive and motorsport space.
